Welcome to a beautiful and cozy fall home tour! Sharing all our our rustic fall decorating ideas for a warm and cozy autumn home!
Welcome everyone! Come on in and see our beautiful rustic fall decor! Today, I’m joining the DIY Mommy, and an amazing group of Canadian bloggers to show off our autumn homes. I decorate for almost every season, but fall is my absolute favourite time of year, and I never miss a chance to decorate. This year I’m sharing some of my rustic fall decorating ideas and I know you’ll love our cozy home.
Rustic Fall Decorating Ideas in the Living Room
The first thing you will see when you pop into my home is our living room! I LOVE the high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling fireplace in this room. It is always the first room I decorate because it is the most used space. We get to stare at these pretty decorations the most. I went along with the theme that our stone fireplace was giving off, and created a beautiful rustic space.
Fall is all about adding warmth to your space, so we’ve filled our traditional rustic leather sofa with textiles and pillows.
The throw blankets in this space are some our coziest! The deer pillow is perfect for fall. I love the subtle pops of colour and the cottage vibes they give off – perfect rustic decorating idea. You can find the tutorial for those no-sew deer pillows on YouTube right now!
I don’t know about you, but as soon as the cool weather arrives, our slippers come out! Warm feet is a must when it comes to our cool autumn weather!
I picked up this autumn pillow once and just loved it immediately! Am I crazy, or is there something about just reading the word “autumn” that makes the space feel comfier? lol.
Our DIY Coffee Table (with free build plans!), is one of the focal points in this room, but with a toddler and an always-climbing-baby, the decor on the tables must stay simple and child-friendly.
I often try to create cute little vignettes with rustic trays, candles, and decor, but this year I opted for a few small plastic pumpkins that can be picked up and moved by little hands, without mommy needing to worry!
The cute mason jar lid pumpkin is one that I made last year, and I still love it! It adds a little bit of colour and fun to the space.
Then comes the fireplace and all of it’s beautiful rustic elements!
Again, I kept the floor decor child-friendly. The “Autumn” sign is my absolute favourite piece right now. I made it to add height to the fireplace decor, and I’m SO glad I did. Here is the tutorial!
I hand painted a couple of pumpkins to match the sign and pull the colours together. Then I added a basket that I had lying around to help balance out the space.
As we continue up to our rustic mantle, we come across the “hello” sign (another easy DIY project) and the cute little white yarn pumpkins. I love these little guys and the texture they add to the mantle. I take them out every year and use them somewhere in our decor!
On the way out of the living room, you will find my DIY Command Center. I just added a little fall to the chalkboard and placed a couple of owls underneath.
You don’t have to add much to a space for it to feel seasonal. These subtle touches do a lot of talking!
Rustic Fall Decorating Ideas in the Kitchen
Moving into the kitchen, there are a few more simple autumn ideas.
My kitchen is all set up for a beautiful fall dinner—including my copper centerpieces! I love hosting thanksgiving and will definitely pull out some of these table setting ideas when I’m getting ready for family to visit.
The kitchen counters got a bit of festive decor too. Starting with filling my DIY copper wine rack with fall flavours!
The pasta, corn, and quinoa was actually all items that I already had in our pantry! But I used the opportunity to display this fall coloured foods on the counter during the autumn season in these cute little containers.
Autumn Decor in Master Bedroom
The fall themes continue into the master bedroom. There aren’t a lot of people that see our bedroom decorated for fall, but I still love doing it. I read my books up in here and enjoy how cozy it feels.
When I’m relaxing in my bedroom, I use a simple rustic tray like this one. I take some faux florals from the table, add a glass or water (or tea in the evening!), and add some books or magazines.
Somehow a few of those cute yarn pumpkins also migrated to our bedroom! They look good just about anywhere! lol.
Across from our bed sits this lovely corner fireplace, for which we built our own wooden mantel.
Just like downstairs, my mantle is my favourite spot to decorate. It’s a nice big space to fill up with fun fall pieces! I decided to stick with browns and greens so that it would flow nicely with the rest of the decor in the room.
I hope you enjoyed the tour and found some ideas to help you decorate your home for the season! Happy fall everyone!

How To Create A Special Mantel Decor That Reflects Your Style - interior4you

[…] Because the TV was placed so close to the mantel, there wasn’t much space for decorations in this case. Still, there’s a lot going on here, not just on the mantel but around the fireplace in general. It’s a fall-themed decor which includes basic things like pumpkins and a grapevine wreath but also a few custom pieces as well. You can find more inspiring ideas like this one on lovecreatecelebrate.
