I’m an over-the-moon excited to be sharing this post with you today! If you’ve been following my One Room Challenge updates, then you saw a sneak peek at my beautiful new weathered wood ceiling last week (if you have no idea what I’m talking about, find out here!). I’ve been working on renovating my Master Bedroom Closet, with the help of my handy husband, and I wanted to add some more character to the small space. This stunning weathered wood ceiling definitely did the trick!

A couple of weeks ago, this space looked like this ^^. An empty white box. So I went searching for something to liven up the space. When I came across these real weathered wood panels by Stikwood I was in LOVE! These super thin, eco-friendly, real wood panels are an amazing and innovative product. How could I resist using them!
They come in a variety of sizes, so it’s easy to find a piece that fits. This saves you from making a cut every single time! When we did do cuts, we used two main tools:
Dremel with a drywall bit
Circular saw
This video will show you EXACTLY how easy it is:
Are you dreaming of a space in your home that needs this now? A feature wall, a foyer, a bar? I know I have a thousand other ideas in my head!
We had to cover up and hide the attic ^^ in our ceiling, but you can hardly even tell it’s there! The wood hides the seams perfectly.
I couldn’t be happier with the results! What do you think of our weathered wood ceiling?
Don’t forget to follow along with my 6 week room renovation! I’m sharing the step-by-step process in these posts:

I'm absolutely swooning over that weathered wood. I would be standing in my closet looking at it all day!

Haha, my room is still off limits - because of other renos - or I would totally be doing that too!

SOOOOO pretty! I've been eyeing the white painted Stikwood planks to use somewhere in our house. Do you know if they can be used over textured ceilings? We have a few textured ceilings I would like to banish! ;)

Thank you! I don't know for sure if they can be used with texture. We had a textured ceiling that we danced down before we put the planks up just to be safe.
