When it comes to tablescapes, my tastes have gotten more and more minimal. I don't want too much on the table to impede my vision of the other guests, but I still like to be "on-theme" and decorate for the holiday. This year I made a simple, minimalist and modern Thanksgiving tablescape that was the perfect medium.

This fluted candle holder was made using a wooden cup and dowels from the Dollar store. I used a natural stain, but you can use any colour. I really love the wood tone and the warmth it adds to our thanksgiving tablescape.
Both vases were dollar store vases and I used the same baking soda and paint technique that I used on the plate chargers to turn them into beautiful looking home decor.

Most of theses tablescape items can be used for any occasion and interchanged for different tablescapes, both the DIY items and the store-bought pieces. It all came together beautifully!
