Welcome to a beautiful fall home tour! Explore the living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and entry in this modern, seasonal home!
Welcome everyone! Welcome into our autumn home. Home Tour days are my favourite days. The house is finally crystal clean, I get to pull out all of my decor bins, and I get to create what feels like a brand new space! Our modern fall home tour is still on the minimalist side this year. Of all the decor you’ll see, I actually only bought two new things this year (plus a pile of fresh white pumpkins, lol). Hope you enjoy our modern fall home tour!
Our Fall Home Tour
Today I’m sharing our living room, dining room and kitchen. They are all open to one another so it feels like one big space to share and decorate.
My original plan for my home tour was a ton of beautiful, natural leaves and stems. I took the dog for a walk around our property cutting branches here and there, and then put them in a container so that I could put them up the next day. Well…. I don’t know how the instagrammers do it, because after a day my leaves were all falling off and my branches looked bare, lol. Onto plan B!
Fall Living Room Decor Ideas
I didn’t do a ton to spruce up the living room. I added a couple of small items to the mantle, coffee table, and benches. Most of my decor this time around had to be very child-friendly. My 16 month old son is walking away with everything he can these days!
A small little fall vignette for the coffee table, including the dollar store pumpkin that I painted a few years ago!
And of course, our blanket ladder full of cozy fall throws!
That grey pumpkin is one of the two items I purchased this year! It was perfect for adding another colour and texture to the space.
My favourite fall pillow will be on display for the next few months. I always love filling up that little bench with pillow and throw blankets.
Fall Office Decorating Ideas
This little computer desk is off the side of our living room (as you can see in the photo above). I added a few fall touches to the space, including some pompas grass, and some white pumpkins.
All shades of earthy fall colours are on display here! I would’ve loved to add some of my fresh green leafy stems into this space too… if only they had survived more than two days, lol.
Fall Dining Room Decor Ideas
The dining room is one of my favourite rooms in the house. I feel like everything looks amazing against that moody feature wall!
This little sideboard has a few more full of decorations than I usually add, but I couldn’t help filling up one space with these pumpkins I had painted a few years ago.
The back wall got a few extra pumpkins and vases too. I love the height that the stems add!
This purple runner is actually one that I picked up during my internship in Africa as a student. Honestly, I don’t pull it out very often, but something about this wooden bowl of pumpkins was calling for it. It finishes off the space perfectly.
If you’ve never seen the transition from our dining room to our kitchen, this fall home tour is showing off all of the secrets! You can also get a really good idea of how high our roof is from these pics!
Fall Kitchen Decor Ideas
Every year I try to be as authentic in our home tours as I can be. So I don’t remove items that we use everyday. And the colouring books that my children are going to get out five seconds after I take this photo are still piled at the side of the island. That’s real life.
Seeing as fall is the season of guests, I figured it was best to update my letterboard to something more suited to the season, lol.
The kitchen doesn’t need much to make it feel like fall. Just a few cozy touches and warm wooden accents.
I added this little pumpkin tray, which might be the most festive piece I have out, and put my coffee sugar and creamer container on it for guests.
I added a couple of small pumpkins to the shelves because they are the perfect size, shape, and contrast. And the wooden cutting boards that I already had out fit our scene perfectly!
This kitchen is clearly aching for me to make some warm butternut squash soup!
Fall Entry Decorating Ideas
And since I just can’t help but show off my entry… here’s a couple of quick pics of our fall entry. Subtle changes :)
I hope you enjoyed seeing our fall home tour! Fall is my absolute favourite season, so I’ll be soaking up all of the slipper and sweater weather for as long as possible!
