To be honest with you…. I’m not a big glitter gal. I’ve had glitter sitting in my craft stash for years and this is probably the first time I’ve pulled it out. I’m so glad I did though, because these simple Thanksgiving Day place settings were fun to make. Why don’t I use more glitter in my life? This may be the start of something amazing.
After I created the tags, I also thought these would be beautiful for hostess gifts or leftovers (which we all send home after Thanksgiving Dinner!).

You need the tags to start. You can always buy them, but somehow they cost an arm and a leg! So I made my own with my Platinum 6 machine. In just two minutes I had ten of these tags cut out and ready to go!
Materials:
Platinum 6 Machine
Contour Tag, You’re It, Steel Rule Die
White Mat Board (this stuff is nice and thick!)
Glitter
Mod Podge
Foam Brush
Sharpie or Marker
Leather Cord (optional)
Easy Thanksgiving Day Place Settings:
Start by cutting your white mat board in half, and placing one piece over top of the square tag on the steel rule die. Roll the die through your Platinum 6 machine to cut your modern tag out.
Once your tag is cut, use a sharpie to write some Thanksgiving-ish words. I chose to put “thankful”, “blessed”, “grateful”, and “gather”. Make sure to leave some space at the bottom for glitter!
Next, apply Mod Podge to the bottom 1/4 or 1/3 of the tag and before it dries, quickly sprinkle some glitter on top!
Finally, you can add some leather cording to the tags to give them some more colour and texture :)
I love how these tags turned out! Perfect and simple for the table setting!
And if you’re wondering where the pretty pumpkins came from, they are dollar store ones painted with Americana Decor Metallics in Antique Bronze :)
If you’re bringing along a pie or a bottle of wine, one of these tags would look beautiful on top too! Or if you’re the hostess, you could fill a few pretty containers with leftovers and add a nice tag to send home with your guests. So many pretty possibilities!
Hope you got some glittery inspiration here!
