When decorating, I have a love of all things rustic and natural.
As I was planning my fall table settings, I came to this realization.
Everything that I planned to include had an earthy tone and a natural feel to it.
Then I realized that this is also true of some of my past table settings, and mantles, and decorations – even my wedding day!
Here’s where my earthy decorating style took me this year: Everything is brown, green or orange tones – including the beautiful floral greenery in the centrepiece that was on sale at the grocery store!
Wooden candle holders (Tutorial coming soon!), and mason jars with jute string as a rustic appeal.
A little fall scatter for the tablecloth. Pinecones and chestnuts add to the nature theme :)
Finally, the place settings brought in the same colours and included some hand-stamped sentiments, and rustic homemade elements.
Once the place was all decorated, all that was left was the food.
I cooked up a delicious turkey with all the fixin’s!
Our family enjoyed the food and the atmosphere :)
And our daughter enjoyed her first ever thanksgiving meal.
She wasn’t huge on the turkey… but she loved everything else!
I’m extremely thankful for a happy, healthy family, and for a full dinner table this year!
Hope you all had a blessed thanksgiving weekend (if you’re Canadian!).
