Make this fun and easy Candy bar love note to surprise your loved ones this year! A fun gift for Valentine’s Day, birthdays, and anniversaries!
Valentine’s Day is almost here! Are you ready? Valentine’s Day is never a day when I wanted to spend a lot of money – and I encouraged my husband to do the same! But there are fun, and affordable ways to show each other a little bit of extra love for the holiday, including this fun Candy Bar Love Note!
With a new baby at home this year, I know that I wouldn’t have a chance to run around town looking for gifts for my husband (even if I wanted to). In lieu of something bought, I decided to make something sweet (no pun intended).
It was actually a very easy project, and if your husband has a sweet tooth, like mine, I can already tell you he’s going to love it!
When the baby was ready for a nap, I wandered through the chocolate bar area of the grocery store and picked out a few chocolate bars, candies, and types of gum that I thought I could use in phrases. We live in Canada, so if you don’t recognize some of the chocolate bars we used, that’s probably why.
Once I had the chocolate bars, I stayed up at night with the baby thinking up phrases to use them in.
I love how it turned out! My husband loved it too. Finally a gift he would actually use, lol.
The entire love note cost less than $15. The Bristol board was from the dollar store, and the little embellishments were from there too.
Need more Valentine’s Day ideas? I made this fun Five Senses Gift Basket you might love too! It’s a unique way to celebrate one another!
