Looking for a creative way to wrap your gifts this year? If you saw my Christmas Home Tour last week , then you know that my house is decked out in red, gold, and burlap decor this season! Why not bring that into my Christmas gift wrapping! Here’s how I added burlap to my brown paper packages :)
Materials:
Brown Kraft Paper
Burlap ribbon – any patterns you like!
(I used natural burlap ribbon, red burlap ribbon, white and gold chevron ribbon, and one strip of gold)
Jute string
Any accessories you want!
Chalkboard gift tags (optional)
First, I wrapped each present in brown kraft paper, then I added my embellishments. For a couple of the packages, I just wrapped them in a burlap ribbon, and added a bow to the top! On the package above, I used red burlap wire ribbon, tied a bow, and added a pinecone to give the present a bit more visual appeal.
For this gift, I simple bound burlap ribbon on the outside, added jute string to hang my chalkboard gift tag, and added a gold pinecone for a touch of colour!
For this gift, I used primarily jute string because I love the look of the natural fibres, and I love how easy it is to make patterns out of the string, like my criss-cross above! I also added a red and gold candy cane ornament. I tied the ornament and the gift tag into the jute string.
For this package, I made little burlap rosettes, left over from this project! You can find a tutorial for them here.
And for this project, I added natural burlap ribbon, red burlap, and jute string. I feel like this is the most masculine design, so I kept it for Daddy :)
When you are done, you will have a few beautiful gifts using burlap accents :)
Don’t they look great under the tree!
