How do you feel about gift-giving? Love it? Hate it? Find it too materialistic? I for one, love it. I LOVE finding or making gifts for people that I know will make them smile. Or finding those creative gifts, you know, the “I-know-they-didn’t-ask-for-this-but-I’m-excited-cause-I-know-they-will-love-it” gifts! That’s where this post comes in. The best place to find unique gifts is just a click away!

Some people are just hard to shop for. If you have one of those people on your list, have you heard of Uncommon Goods? It’s called uncommon for a reason. This online shop has the most unique items for anyone on your shopping list!
I picked out a few items that spoke to me, and I’ll tell you why.
If you follow me on Instagram, then you already know that my husband works with AND loves all things “bridge” related. So when I saw this industrial steel bridge, I couldn’t resist! And I was right. He loves it. LOVES it.
I had my eye on something a little different… I don’t know what it is about these little coiled succulent planters, but I needed them as soon as I saw them. Half of the items on the site are made by hand, and a third of the items are made from recycled or upcycled materials. I love that all of the items came with cards from the shops and makers to tell you a bit more. It really emphasizes the Artists behind the one-of-a-kind pieces.
This last one, it was my Christmas gift to myself. Do any of you live far from home? Wish you lived closer to family? Have a loved one that moved away? My family all lives on the other side of Canada – too far for a drive or a day-trip. Which means that we only see them once or twice a year. This pillow gave me a way to remember them everyday.
It comes with a heart and a star that you can sew onto any part of the pillow that you like – wherever your heart lies. I LOVE this pillow so much. I want to buy one for all of my relatives that live far away. Wouldn’t this be the perfect gift to get from a loved one? Or give your mom when you head off to a new school or new home?
