Do you ever have a vision for something and think, there’s no way I can actually make that as beautifully as I’m picturing in my head? That’s what I thought about this furniture piece. I had a vision, I drew it out on paper, but I just couldn’t imagine it actually coming true. Enter super handy husband. I consider myself pretty handy, but it was my husband that made this dream a reality. He built this Rustic Industrial Shelf and I was just a helper. I can’t wait for you to see the plans!

If you read this blog than you’ve watched my style evolve over time into rustic-industrial chic – or at least that’s what I’m calling it this week… haha. That’s the thing with style isn’t it? It’s fluid and changing, and in the end, you just make, build, and decorate with what you like! And I like this piece. I LOVE this piece.

This space in my home always seemed a bit empty to me. I had a cabinet there for awhile, but it never quite filled the space properly. The open shelving here allows for more light and more decor (Guess who’s excited to decorate this piece with Christmas decor?! *hint* it’s not my super handy husband). All this to say that I love the piece, and I know you will to. PLUS, you can build it for a fraction of the cost you would pay in stores!
