I love holidays, and I’ll use any excuse to exercise my creative juices and make something special.
This Valentine’s Day I was invited to a Valentine’s coffee/tea at a friends’ house.
Such a great idea for a group of mom’s at home with their babies! She provides the drinks, and everyone else brings a snack to share :)
I’ve only been at home alone with the babe for a couple of days now, and in hopes of establishing some kind of routine with her, I didn’t want to head out for more groceries right away to make my treat. Instead, I decided to make something based on what we already had at home.
As soon as I opened the fridge and eyed our fresh strawberries, I knew I had to make a delicious strawberry sorbet!
Great idea! Unexpected, delicious, and pink – perfect for Valentine’s!
We have an ice cream maker that we got for Christmas that I used to whip up this delicious treat.
It’s actually very easy to make.
The only ingredients are:
2 cups of water
1 cup of sugar
4 cups of strawberries
Then I put together some easy Valentine’s tags [above] to add something pretty to our treat bowls.
I’m all about adding pretty pieces :)
And that’s it!
A delicious non-traditional Valentine’s treat :)

Looks delicious! Enjoy your Valentine's visiting with Ellie. That's one of my favourite things to do with the kids! :)
